Vent Cover Film

TapeManBlue Vent Cover Film is a blue self-adhesive protective film that seals HVAC vents and floor registers against dust, dirt, and debris during duct cleaning, remediation, construction, and painting. It comes in two widths — 8 in x 200 ft, perforated every 4 inches, and 12 in x 200 ft, perforated every 8 inches — tears by hand at the perforation, and removes cleanly with no adhesive residue. Made in the USA, and it meets SMACNA standards for temporary closures on vents and floor registers.

Duct cleaning and restoration crews use it to seal off every register in the house before agitating a duct system, so dislodged dust doesn't blow back into finished rooms. Painters and remodelers use it the opposite way: covering supply and return vents so sanding dust and overspray never enter the ductwork in the first place. Press the film over the register, tear at the nearest perforation, move to the next one. No knife, no separate roll of tape.

The medium-tack adhesive holds a seal for the duration of the project, then peels off without pulling paint or leaving residue on the register or the surrounding floor. The film is puncture-resistant and UV resistant, and the blue color makes covered vents easy to spot — so none get overlooked at final walkthrough. Wipe the surface clean before applying for the best seal.

The 12-inch roll, perforated every 8 inches, handles larger return grilles and commercial diffusers. Cases hold 18 rolls (8 in) or 12 rolls (12 in); pallets hold 144 and 96 rolls for duct cleaning fleets and restoration companies buying at volume.
